Two 2006 White Wings, one couple new to the Hoot and one veteran (myself) headed out on Monday after Father's Day for the 2007 Honda Hoot.  I was riding later along with Dan from the GL1800 board, planning to meet my friends on the Blue Ridge, but an unfortunate crash tied up I-81 southbound.  After the road opened, a storm had rolled in.  The other Wing was in front of the storm while I was behind it.  So, Dan & I rode down I-81 until I exited at Roanoke for the first night.

The next day, we had an easy trip from Roanoke to Knoxville.  After checking into our motel, we hit the early registration followed by the EC/Bushtec BBQ which benefited the children.

As so often happens, the four days of the event flew by!  We had rides and events throughout with some down time for the pool and a few adult beverages.  We took in Hoot activities - Knoxville police motorcycle exhibition, the downtown bike night, the fireworks and the down home party at the Museum of Appalachia.  Then there was the GL1800 group ride by Bartman, and  our trip of the Cherohala Skyway and Deals Gap.  Of course, the vendors - our credit cards had fun!  We will return in 2008.

I took some pictures along the way:
